Adult Day Services

A daytime program of caring for adults physically and emotionally

Mission Statement:  “Adult Day Services mission is to provide a program with a broad range of services for eligible adults in Northern Minnesota to enhance their quality of life.”

Adult Day Services is licensed by the MN Department of Human Services.

Daily Activities Include:

v     Morning and afternoon snacks                                

v     Noon meal

v     Chair exercises

v     News & orientation

v     Group recreational activities

v     Word/memory/reminisce games

v     Musical events

v     Socialization

v     Individualized activities

v     Personal cares

Who is Eligible?

Each person must meet the following criteria:

v     Is at least 18 years of age

v     Is ambulatory or can use a wheelchair, walker, or cane

v     Is not dangerous to self or others

v     Can cooperate with own care plan

v     Has a primary care physician

Services include: 

Protective environment, daytime supervision, caregiver support, nutritious meals & snacks, social/recreational activities, emergency medical arrangements, liaison with home and community representatives, educational services, respite for caregivers, personal cares, limited nursing services, limited transportation.  Services are individualized to each person’s care plan.
