                                                                ARMHS

                                      Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services

ARMHS services are provided to the recipient on a one-to-one basis or in group activities or instruction.  Services can be provided in the recipient's home or in a community setting.  An individual ARMHS worker is assigned to help the individual who may have difficulty in a variety of psychological or social functioning areas.

ARMHS are designed to help develop and reestablish:

Psychiatric stability, Social  competencies, Personal and emotional adjustment, Independent living skills, Community living skills, and to Retain stability and functioning if the person is at-risk of significant decompensation.

ARMHS services can assist with:

Interpersonal skills, Community resource utilization, Crisis assistance, Relapse prevention skills, Health lifestyle skills, Cook & nutrition, Transportation skills, Medicatiion education & monitoring, Mental illness symptom management, Household management skills, Transition to community living services, Budgeting & shopping skills, and Health care directives.

To be eligible for ARMHS you must be:

18 years of age or older, On Medical Assistance (MA), Diagnosed with a significant mental illness or traumatic brain injury, and Impaired in three or more functional areas.
