Outreach Services

The RMHC provides outreach services to individuals who have difficulty leaving their home or who need supportive services within their home.  At times, outreach services help to deal with crisis situations.  More typically, outreach services provide ongoing contact for the client with someone from the mental health center as a form of “checking in” on how they are functioning and whether they may need additional services or assistance.   Some of this “checking in” may involve just a supportive contact for people who are managing adequately but who may be at risk for relapse or a possible exacerbation of their mental illness if they did not receive ongoing contact or support.  Outreach services are not limited to a specific program or insurance.

Our outreach workers may also help with transportation issues or, at times, may actually provide transportation to assist people in getting to medical appointments or the food shelf or other necessary services.  Outreach workers also, at times, assist clients in filling out applications for assistance, insurance forms, or information needed to initiate services in which the client would like to participate.

RMHC outreach services are available in the Virginia/Eveleth/Mt. Iron area, the Ely/Babbitt/Tower area, the Hibbing/Chisholm area, and the Aurora/Hoyt Lakes/Biwabik area.

To get more information about these services, call: (218) 741-4714 or (800) 450-4714.
